Meet the Founder

Kevin Easterday

Kevin Easterday founded Daffodil Place™ in response to the growing issue of housing insecurity issues in San Antonio. Initially owning a property intended for rent, Kevin was moved by the local homelessness crisis. Kevin transformed his property into a shared recovery housing facility. His desire to give back to his community, and his Christian faith, inspired him to provide Shared Sober Housing in San Antonio.

Collaborating with leaders in the homeless community and Haven for Hope and other agencies in the San Antonio area, Kevin and the Daffodil Place™ board of trustees aim to offer a viable solution to the city’s housing challenges for individuals facing housing insecurities. Their initial efforts focus on providing a small-scale model with the potential for expansion, ultimately helping more individuals in need.

Daffodil Place™ is modeled after the successful Kate’s House Foundation®. Working closely with Frank and Sherri Candelario, Kevin has adopted many of their proven processes, rules, and guidelines to address housing insecurity issues in San Antonio. This partnership aims to replicate the success seen in Seattle, providing a structured and effective approach to tackling homelessness in the local community.
